Bathma spent her earlier years in the Far East. She has great appreciation of different cultures and family roots using her rich experiences of both the East and the West. These experiences have instilled a deep interest in working with clients who struggle with identity issues, difficulties in adjusting to different cultures, norms, differences and environments.
There are constant concerns raised in the media regarding the split between physical and mental health care and wellbeing. Due to her background in general and mental health nursing, she can offer therapeutic space to explore and understand how physical and medical conditions like diabetes, depression, anxiety, cardiac problems, dementia, progressive and terminal illnesses can affect one's emotions and in managing day to day life and relationships.
